Annapurna Circuit trekking is an adventure that takes you around the north and South sides of the massif Annapurna Himalayas.

Where journey takes you from low warm farm villages, then entering cooler alpine hills. A walk takes you closer to the mountainous zone after starting the trek from the nice village of Dharapani. The trail leads on a gradual uphill through lovely woods of pines and rhododendron, facing views of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalayas. The trail follows Chame, a headquarters town of Manang district, and then slowly reaches Pisang village. From here onwards enter scenic Manang valley enclosed within the towering staggering mountain range of Annapurna Himalayas and Chulu’s peaks. As tree lines slowly fade on reaching a wild country at main Manang village. Located in the heart of picturesque Manang valley close behind Annapurna-I, II, and Gangapurna Himal with Chulu’s towards the north.
A perfect altitude and the right spot for rest and acclimatization days, where one can explore its scenic view-points. Visit the old monastery of Braga of great cultural and religious interest within a grand backdrop of the high Snow Mountain range. 
The adventure continues towards wilder country heading far west beyond the Manang Valley reaching the base of high Thorang-La Pass.
Next early morning a steep climb takes you to the top Thorang-La Pass, the highest point of the adventure. 
Thorang-La the end of Manang and entrance to Mustang district, where walk heads downhill to holy Muktinath. Revered as the sacred pilgrimage site for all Hindu and Buddhist followers, with time to visit the temple of Muktinath.
As the journey continues down to Kaligandaki River through a lovely Jomsom the major town of Mustang district. The adventure leads past the beautiful villages of Marpha, Tukuche, and then within Kaligandaki.
Situated in between towering world 7th high Mt. Dhaulagiri, and 10th highest 
 Mt. Annapurna-I. The big drops of these highest peaks make the Kaligandaki River world’s deepest gorge in the world. 
The journey leads to the low warm country of Mygdi at Tatopani, a village with refreshing hot springs. From Tatopani village on the high cooler trail to Ghorepani village and at Poon Hill for stunning sunrise views. Overlooking glorious panorama of the world’s three highest mountain ranges Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Annapurna Himalayas. Slowly our adventure comes to an end walk through lovely woods of rhododendron and pine trees reaching Ulleri village. 
An exciting drive takes you to a beautiful city in Pokhara, where our memorable and adventurous Annapurna Circuit trekking concludes.

Trip Itinerary

On arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal International Airport get transferred to respective hotels. Check into your lovely rooms, after getting refreshed join with other trekking members for group briefing. Your guide or Group Leader, will provide useful information regarding trekking, hotels, and local lodge on Annapurna Circuit. 

A day in Kathmandu for familiarization with local Nepalese cultures and historical background. Morning after breakfast, our city / cultural guide will take you for a short drive in the heart of Kathmandu city.  Where most UNESCO World Heritage Sites located of great cultural and historical interest.

After an exciting tour, back to hotel rest of the afternoon preparation for Annapurna Circuit.

An early morning start for a long drive, heading towards Nepal Mid-West around the districts of Lamjung and Manang. An interesting overland journey through rural farm villages and towns and then reaching Besisar, a large town of Lamjung district. 

From Besisar drive follows Masrsyangdi River heading towards winding uphill above the river past Jagat and Tal Besi then reaching Dharapani for overnight halt. Located around cooler hills above Masrsyangdi River, where route of Manaslu Circuit joins.

First day walk begins following a winding gradual path within forest of pines and rhododendron to Bagarchap and Danque villages. Then the trail follows higher cooler hills to Timang village facing grand views of Lamjung Himal. Includes Manaslu Himalaya range with Annapurna II and IV.  

From Timang short downhill to Kodo village and then reaching large town at Chame, the headquarters of Manang district. Check into a lodge at Chame with time to browse the town and witness the local cultures of Buddhism heritage. 

From Chame adventure leads further west following a dense forested path and then climb to a scenic ridge. At a place of Dukari Pokhari, facing grand views of Pisang peak, as well of Pisang village down below. Slowly the trail descends to a wide valley reaching Pisang windblown village for overnight stop.


After a pleasant overnight in Pisang facing views of Annapurna II, III and IV with Chulu’s and lofty Pisang peak. Morning trail leads to a high ridge, offers spectacular views of Manang valley with an array of snow peaks.

A slow downhill to Hongde village, with a small airstrip and then on scenic wide path to Braga. A village with an old monastery above an eroded high cliff, a tour of the monastery. Observe the age-old ancient artifacts and vivid religious paintings with fresco or Thangka, the monastery with magnificent views of snow peaks. From the monastery a short walk reach you at main Manang village located in the heart of scenic valley. The village surrounded by towering peaks of Chulu’s and Annapurna Himalayas. Enjoy the comfort of a nice lovely lodge at Manang village adorned with tremendous Buddhist cultures.


Enjoy the rest day for acclimatization and explore the lovely Manang village and its scenic view points. A short hour walk to Gangapurna glacier and Ice fall south of the village, as well have a relaxing afternoon. 


From Manang village walk towards Thorang-La pass, the trail leads west with slow climb past few smaller settlements. Overlooking grand views of Gangapurna Himal, Tilicho peaks with Chulu West at close distance. Slowly the morning ends for the day reaching Yak Kharka for lunch and overnight stop.

Another short day walk, but strenuous due rise in altitude. From Yak Kharka to Thorang High Camp, walk leads towards end of Manang valley with gradual climb.

Crossing a small stream and then towards Thorang Phedi, a small settlements with several lodges and guest houses. From the Phedi a steep climb of less than one hour reaching the High Camp for lunch and overnight halt.

Today the toughest and longest day of the adventure, start the morning walk on leaving the High Camp. Begins with pleasant walk on gradual path, and then climb on steep winding undulating trail. Finally after few hours of steady walk reaching on top Thorang-La Pass marked with thousands of Buddhist prayer flags.

Enjoy the breathtaking panorama of Annapurna, Damodar and Chulu range of peaks with Dhaulagiri towards west. After a great glorious views, a long descent takes you to Muktinath around Mustang areas. Muktinath a holy site for Hindu pilgrims just above the village, overnight in a nice lovely lodges and guest houses.

Morning with time for short tour of Muktinath holy temples and its 108 water spouts. The temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, one of popular Hindu gods, from Muktinath breaking the walk for a day. As the motorable road from Pokhara has reached all over Mustang areas, saving few days of walks. Enjoy the comfort of hitch hiking taking a day drive on local vehicles to lower warm areas at Tatopani village. The drive heads down to Kaligandaki River valley, onwards to Jomsom town, Marpha and Tukuche villages. During the drive great views of Nilgiris and Dhaulagiri Himalayas, as drive passes through world deepest gorge of Kaligandaki River. Finally reaching warm low farm country at Tatopani, a nice village famous for its natural hot-spring. Tatopani with many good hotels and lodges, enjoy the dip in the hot spring pools.


Adventure continues from Tatopani village following the Kaligandaki River for short while, and then heading for a steep climb. Reaching on top within a lovely farm villages of Sikha and Chitre populated by Magar tribes.

As walk follows through cool forest of rhododendron and pine trees with steep up to Ghorepani. For last overnight stop around the hills of Annapurna Himalayas, the village located amidst beautiful forest surroundings.

Enjoy the comfort of a nice, cozy lodges facing views of Dhaulagiri Himalayas. 


Early morning hike up to Poon Hill an hour climb to a scenic spot for stunning sunrise views. Overlooking panorama of Himalayan peaks includes Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna range with Manaslu and Machhapuchare Himal.

A spectacular and most famous and popular scenic view point due to its close proximity from Pokhara city. After a glorious morning down to Ghorepani for breakfast, and walk down hill through lovely forest to Ulleri village.

From this large Ulleri village where road has reached, after the last few hours of good walk. Enjoy the exciting downhill drive to scenic Pokhara city, a few hours of interesting ride reaching Pokhara. Check into a lovely hotels close to beautiful Phewa Lake. Afternoon enjoy walk around the streets of Phewa Lake side, an exciting place to experience.

Start the morning early for an interesting drive to Kathmandu. The overland journey takes you on the main busy highway following the Trisuli River, as drive climbs on winding road. Then enter Kathmandu valley suburb and into the city after a long exciting drives of near 6 hours. Check into your hotels with rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Reserved as free day, enjoy individual activities in Kathmandu or explore around the three historical sites of Kathmandu valley. As well enjoy a shopping spree for souvenirs of Nepal.  

Last final day in Kathmandu and Nepal, as per your international flight time.

It is not difficult as one can expect, where all travelers are well aware; that Nepal is a country of high hills and mountains. Trekkers will encounter steep climbs and downhill, having few gradual winding paths. 

The only problem is catching high altitude sickness or AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). But taking slowly, having short rest will overcome the difficulties on steep climb uphill. As well enjoying beautiful scenery along the walks will make you forget the toughness and difficulties. The only tough and hard day of trekking is climb to high Thorang-La Pass, and then a long downhill. Taking slow steps will be the best and having short refreshing breaks. 

Yes, it is one of the best and popular trek around the Himalayas, which is why is listed as world top 10 adventure destinations. But due to construction of motorable road the trekking itinerary days has shorten with less than two weeks walks. But still one of favorite among traveler and adventurers.

Depending upon the itinerary of various local companies that you booked, normally the standard itinerary of two weeks. But due to motorable road, the trekking has shorten to 10 / 11 days. As well depending upon the start of the trek and ending point of walks.

Yes, Internet, Wi-Fi, and phone are available around every village and large settlement on Annapurna Circuit. The only places like Yak Kharka and High Camp of Thorang-La, sometimes the internet and WI-FI are slow and might be disturbing due to weather-wise.

As well depending on the landscapes around the gorge and deep valleys, the internet and WI-FI will not reach the areas. One must be prepared and wait until you reach certain high places, where the communication works. 

Due to the construction of motorable road, the trek is shortened for few days.
It will be disturbing walking all the way to Tatopani, along the motorable road, can get dusty also. Taking a drive from Muktinath to Tatopani will save time and makes the itinerary shorter. Where all travelers can enjoy the Annapurna Circuit in short time duration.
